Death of the record label? Not necessarily, but certainly more than meets the eye.

Spotify is staging its first major public concert in Australia. Based on the music of its re-launched playlist ‘Front Left’ (formerly ‘Indie Mixtape’), the line-up is stacked with artists who feature on the playlist, including Cosmo’s Midnight, Baker Boy, Noongar MC Dallas Woods, Hatchie, Kota Banks, CXLOE and a surprise international guest.

The fast food company launched its new live music series with an impromptu gig last week, leading unsuspecting attendees to the emptied-out Bondi Icebergs pool where award-winning live DNB act Rudimental performed a surprise set.
